The NHS advises you, among other things, to wash your hands regularly, cover your mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze and avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.
You only need to stay away from public places if advised to by the NHS’s specialist 111 online coronavirus service or by a medical professional.
There is currently no evidence that you can catch coronavirus from parcels and letters or from food. Viruses like coronavirus cannot live for very long outside the body.

* Vulnerable Residents needing Additional Support *
Those that are identified as needing additional support are being asked to do the following;

Residents who identify as vulnerable for other reasons and require assistance are to register on the Councils website.

Among them will be those that have received the ‘shielding letter’ from the government requiring them to self isolate for 12 weeks.

If they require any help or assistance particularly with food, we get them to register on the following website: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus-extremely-vulnerable.

They can also ring: 0800 028 8327. This will ensure that they will get food parcels as promised by the government to help them through this period.

‘Covid-19 Mutual Aid UK’ Is a group of Local London Fields residents who have come together to Support each other in these difficult times, available for a friendly chat or to help with daily errands such as shopping . Facebook : Hackney Covid-19 Mutual Aid
